Mile High Horror Film Festival Introduces Sci-fi Saturday Block.

Introducing Sci-fi Film Night

Denver, CO – At this year’s Mile High Horror Film Festival, we are doing things a little differently. We are introducing for the first-time ever, a sci-fi film night with features and shorts from the genre that will make you forget about the last three Star Wars films. We promise you’ll thank us later!

We understand that sometimes the lines between horror and sci-fi are blurred. So with that in mind, we are taking this necessary step to continue to deliver the best films from around the world to you, our fans.

On Saturday night, we will show the sci-fi thriller which debuted at this year’s Fantastia Film Festival, THE RECONSTRUCTION OF WILLIAM ZERO – A geneticist wakes up from an accident with only fragments of his memory is forced to relearn who he is via his twin brother. But as he digs deeper, he discovers he might not be who he thought at all. This film is directed by Dan Bush, whose film credits include THE SIGNAL andGHOST OF OLD HIGHWAYS.

To make this night even better, we are introducing a 72-minute short film block that includes a little bit of everything that we love about the genre. The short films include:CODA (winner of best animation short at SXSW), SEQUENCE (an 18-time award winner), THE WASHING MACHINE, REMORA, CHOCOLATE HEART, LATE FOR MEETING, and PROSPECT.

Tickets and a full film line-up are currently available at The Alamo Drafthouse website:http://drafthouse.com/packages/2014-mile-high-horror-film-festival/denver

Kick off the Halloween season with us at the Mile High Horror Film Festival. This year’s event takes place Oct. 9-12 at the Alamo Drafthouse in Littleton, and includes feature filmmakers, artists, celebrities and of course all the gore and horror that makes our festival a must see.
