April 2nd, 2014 – DENVER, CO — The 5th annual Mile High Horror Film Festival is now officially accepting film and screenplay submissions for its 2014 festival! The 2014 MHHFF will take place at the Alamo Drafthouse Denver October 10-12th.
In addition to doubling in size each year, the MHHFF is considered one of the top 5 coolest horror festivals in the world as rated in MovieMaker Magazine.

“I’ve been with The Mile High Horror Film Festival since the beginning and have seen it grow into one of the premiere film festivals in the US,” says FINAL DESTINATION series writer and creator Jeffrey Reddick. “Aside from a wonderful selection of movies and shorts, you’ll be hard pressed to find a film festival run by such a group of all around great people.”
Prizes are being offered to winning films including custom built trophies along with awards from the festival’s sponsors.
There are over 60 films from 16 different countries, which were showcased in last year’s festival.
“There are so many incredible genre films being produced out there and we strive to show the absolute best,” says festival director Timothy Schultz.” “Our goal is to shine a light on these films, extending their reach by thousands of people, while giving fans a chance to see them first, before they are released to the general public. I invite all genre filmmakers to submit.”

The Mile High Horror Film Festival’s mission is to showcase the best independent genre films from around the world. It hosts screenings and events throughout the year with its annual weekend-long festival taking place each fall in the Denver metro area of Colorado.
