Soldiers Of A Wrong War Album Review

Soldiers of a Wrong War are preparing for the release of their album, Countdowns, and are ready to bring their music to the world. The Italian rock band’s second album is reminiscent of everything you loved about 90s alternative and grunge with a modernized musical style that will catch the attention of even the most casual listener.

The first single and video from the album is ‘Yeah’, which the band describes as ‘one of those rock’n’roll songs that make you wanna instantly dance and have fun’, and they were accurate in that statement. The chugging guitars in the bridge leading up to the breakdown will get you off your feet and moving around. ‘We Will Never Fall’ is a crushingly uplifting song. The lyrics push the story of finding the truth in yourself and others while breaking free of the constricts that society, and your own mind, puts on yourself. ‘Broken Bones’ is my personal favorite on the album, opening with a melodic sing-along that carries through to the chorus and picks up on the feelings of learning from your mistakes and moving on. On the softer side, the acoustic ballad ‘Clocks’ deals with finding your path and allowing time to heal your wounds, even after hard times have hit.

The mass audience appeal of Countdowns is far-reaching; making it the perfect album for heavy radio rotation that pulls in a crowd while holding true to a live rock show feel. Many of the songs on this album are perfect rock anthems, ones that will transcend generations both through the lyrical content and the musical prowess of the musicians.

Countdowns will be released on April 18, 2017.
